Wake County residents dropping off their own trash and recycling. Box trucks, dual-axle and enclosed trailers need a free Trash Pass in advance. Construction debris only from Wake County homeowners (not renters, haulers or contractors); C&D, mattresses, out-of-state plates or commercial vehicles require a Waste Verification Form. No commercial/business waste, appliances, motor oil, tires, batteries, paint, chemicals, yard waste, concrete/brick or oversized items (oversized items go to the South Wake Landfill for a fee).
Holiday closures
Closed New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve (from noon) and Christmas Day.
